:::SXSW 2010 Recap Day 2 (March 18th):::
Day 2 of SXSW started out pretty late for the Boy-Cott Team, but we got the ball rolling at full speed at around 8p.m. The first show we checked out was a L.A. Show featuring Daedelus and Damn-Funk. This most definitely was a dub-step electronic show on a different level. I’ve never seen people wil’ out so hard to dub step in my life. Daedelus owned his set as he fired out continuous funky and melodic beats on his beat machine. Damn-Funk came just as correct on his set. This made for a good start of the festivities for sure.
As Kwestro and I made our way to our next destination we ran across an awesome street performance. Austin seriously is starting to resemble New York. I’m so proud to be a new resident here=)
After a 4 block hike, the Boy-Cott Team arrived to Victory Grill and we were ready to check out the Detroit hip-hop and soul showcase. The highlights of the night were Miz Korona, Crown Royale (Buff 1 and DJ Rhettmatic), Monica Blaire who can sing her ASS off, Slum Village minus Elzhi, Invincible and Black Milk. I’m seriously still hella sore from all the dancing I was doing… After we left the venue I bumped into The Canadian female MC Eternia and her crew which will be performing on March 19th @ Victory Grill.. The beautiful aftermath is posted below::: :)
